33rd Deutscher Flammentag

The Deutscher Flammentag is a conference on current topics in combustion research, sponsoired by the German Combustion Research Association (DVV) and the German section of the Combustion Institute. It serves the exchange of new scientific findings from the basics to the application and promotes the transfer between science and industry.

The 33rd Deutscher Flammentag will be held at the University of Stuttgart, Campus Vaihingen, from 13th to 15th of September 2027.

We are pleased to present the preliminary program of the 33rd Deutscher Flammentag Conference. We will publish the technical program here as soon as it is finalized.

In addition to the ESCR networking session and some presentations, a pre-event on 13th of September is also planned. As the capacity of the event room is limited, we kindly ask you to register via the "ESCR event: Young researcher networking & pre-event" form in Indico. This allows us to estimate the number of participants for the evening and ensure that we do not exceed the capacity of the venue.

General information

The duration of the presentation is 15 minutes, followed by a discussion (5 minutes). The abstracts, manuscripts, and technical presentations can be written or held in German or English. No personal laptop can be connected on site. The presentations in 16:9 format must be submitted by Friday, 10 September, via indico or by email as a .pptx or .pdf file.
 
The posters can be freely designed. Only the maximum size of DIN A0 is specified. The poster does not need to be handed in. It just needs to be hung on the provided walls on time for the poster session. Material for the fastening is provided.
 

All accepted contributions will be published in electronic form. The authors undertake to submit a manuscript (at least 4 and at most 10 pages).

The program committee decides on the basis of the abstract whether to accept the presentation and how to classify it in the conference program.

Call for abstracts

The University of Stuttgart is organizing the 33rd Deutscher Flammentag for Sustainable Combustion on behalf of the German Combustion Research Association (DVV) and the German section of the Combustion Institute.
 
The use of sustainable fuels will also play a major role in the energy transition.These and other topics of combustion research are discussed at the Deutscher Flammentag. It serves the transfer between science and industry, between fundamentals and application. More than 200 participants from universities, industry, and government agencies meet every two years, present their results, and discuss questions. Please register your contributions. The conference will take place at the Vaihingen-campus, University of Stuttgart.
